A little back history on this subject, like a lot of people I have multiple Gmail accounts that I actively use, my personal, my work (K12) and my college account. Up until now I have had to log out of one to login to the other which becomes a pain. Up until this point I had no idea you could stay signed into multiple accounts. Not to mention its easy to setup.
Recently I have heard that teachers are having a hard time with students and parents asking “Is this an AR book?” and the teacher has to look through the lists and see if the book is on the list. Wouldn’t it be nice to add a link to your syllabus at the beginning of the year that has your blog, your Diigo feed and resources that will be used throughout the year. Now you can. There are 3 services that allow you to take multiple links and media and “Bundle” them into one short link. Lets take a look.
Recently I was talking with my girlfriend who is studying Nuclear Medicine at the University of Findlay and she showed me all of the note cards that she creates for her classes. She goes through hundreds of note cards a week (25 Credit Hours) and she has to carry them with her wherever she goes so she can study. Me being the technologist that I am says that is a waste of tree’s, money, and time. I thought, there has to be a better way. There is. Cramberry.
I guess I totally missed this announcement, but recently Google has added an EDU section to the Google Apps marketplace. I think this is going to help us in K-12 move forward with technologies by moving more of our applications to the cloud making them easier to deploy and manage.
