Embassy Suites Livonia, Review

Free drinks, roomy suites and delicious breakfast make this hotel a no brainer for the road warriors out there. Recently while doing a training in the Detroit area, I visited this hotel and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms and the cleanliness of the hotel. I will definitely be back to the Embassy Suites Detroit!

Price Paid at Time of Writing: $149 a night.

Overall Feel

The Embassy Suites is located right off of route 275 at 7 mile road. When you walk into the Embassy you are greeted by a modern lobby and an open atrium style hotel that offers plenty of seating if you want to relax or get some work done. The decor and furniture was all updated and gave the hotel a very modern aesthetic.

Room

The rooms at the Embassy Suites Detroit were very spacious and offered both a bedroom and living room. Both the living room area and the bedroom area had a place to plugin your laptop and work and there was plenty of power outlets throughout the room. In between the two rooms was a small kitchenette with a small sink, microwave, and a fridge. It is great to have such a large room especially when you are traveling with a ton of gear.

Bar / Restaurant

Inside the hotel you will find Ganders Restaurant and Grill which offers a wide variety of foods that remind you of most sports bars. You can find the menu here: All Day Dining Menu (PDF).

Pro Tip: All Embassy Suites offer a managers reception that usually lasts a few hours. At this hotel, the reception lasted from 5:30 to 7:30 and you could choose between house wines, a few domestic drafts and a full line of well liquors.

Closing

The great thing about staying at Embassy Suites is the fact that you always know you will be getting a suite style hotel room, a cook to order breakfast and most of the time you will have a restaurant on site. The Embassy Suites in Detroit is one of my go to hotels and I have always had a positive experience.

TLDR

I would defiantly stay at the Embassy Suites Detroit – Livonia Novi, Michigan again. The modern aesthetic, spacious rooms, delicious breakfast and free drinks are welcome amenities when on the road. Once again, a happy Hilton Honors customer.

Back on the road.
