QR codes are showing up more and more not only in real life but also in classrooms all over the world. A while back I wrote about using google to create QR codes and shorten URL’s . Recently I was turned onto a new chrome extension that does the same thing but its built into the browser. Lets take a look:
To install the chrome extension navigate to the Chrome store by opening a new page in chrome or navigating to: https://chrome.google.com/webstore?hl=en-US.
In the search bar type in goo.gl, you are looking for this logo:
Go through the installation and you will see the logo in your toolbar.
Now navigate to your desired website and click on the above icon. A lot of different things are happening here, it will create a shortened link, create a QR code, as well as show the statistics of the clicks on the link.
